Latest Update

Image
I am so delayed for an update!  But in 2018, during a routine annual check up, we found out I was pregnant. It was a rollercoaster start of pregnancy with me changing docs.  And so now we are a family of 5! Here's Isla, she is now 4 and the love of all our lives.

Time for another update!

We are still a family of four, haha :) Tala is 7 Kael is 4 This year will be our 10th anniversary! How time flies :)

Again, time for an update!

Image
Tala is now 5 year 8 mos while Kael is 2 years 3 months :) And we have been married for 7 years and 8 months :)

And then there were two (time for an update!)

Image
We are now a family of four! Kael was born December 20, 2013. Surprise pregnancy, very hungry weeks, major change in face appearance and a 9-day hospital stay + bedrest for the last few weeks of pregnancy (due to acute pancreatitis and low potassium levels), Kael came to this world at 37 weeks just like his Ate, a few days shy of Christmas. Best Christmas gift the family has received. Here are Tala, now 4 and Kael at 7.5 months: Our life is full and very complete. <3

Tala!

I thought it'd be nice to update from the last actual post on this blog (baby's heartbeat!) by posting a photo of our biggest blessing. She brings so much joy, laughter, love and sunshine in our lives :) Here is Tala, almost at two years and four months. :) We do like to dress her up, haha! :) Photo on the left is by me, the one in the middle by Grandma and the rightmost photo is currently my favourite photo of her - super Southern girl :) She is funny, innately pilya (but not naughty, mostly mischievous), a bit shy among strangers and actually, a bit serious. She is not one to rush into new things, she prefers to observe first. She gives off the impression that she is suplada because of her famous looks (apparently, all inherited from me and her dad). She knows how to say her full name, can tell you how old she is, count to 20 and recognize the number shapes and recite the alphabet. We think her "favourite" colour is green because everything is "green...

Exporting...

When we were planning our wedding in 2007, I made a multiply account to blog about the experience and to upload photos there as well. With Multiply shutting down the personal sites by December 1, I've had to export the entries. The blog entries will be placed here. Photos to be saved in my laptop :) Such a happy time this was!

Baby Baby!

So after nearly two years of marriage and PCOS medication, we are pregnant! :) We both initially said that we would try not to have a baby until after a year of marriage, then we eventually decided to just leave the first born up to God (let Him decide when He wanted to bless us with one). Instead he gave me PCOS - which is really a blessing in disguise. We are more prepared for this baby than we were a few months or halfway into our first year of marriage PLUS we got to spend a whole load of time together, just us. Couldn't ask for anything better. :) Needless to say, we are super super excited for baby! I am in my 17th week (in the midst of my fourth month). Baby's due date is pegged on August 16. Last week, during our regular monthly check up, Reg took a video of our baby's heartbeat while we were all listening to it via doppler. Now we can listen to our baby anytime we'd like. :) So there it is, beating at 150 beats per minute. :) Next month we get t...

Drinks! :)

Image
When we were planning our wedding, we already knew we wanted to have an open bar. And part of our reception set-up was a fully lighted bar. However, since we were in a hotel, a full open bar c/o them was a little too costly. Instead, we were able to haggle for loads of bottles of wine (I can't remember how many bottles there were now but we brought home a lot after) and an unlimited amount of the drinks that were specially mixed just for that day (we were able to get special discounts on the corkage for that one - just a tip, if you want it bad, haggle! Hotels will accommodate :D). We spent a night at Big Sky Mind with Cindy Malong (she is Mark's, a groomsman, sister) who mixed us various drinks while the rest of us tested them out (we walked out of there drunk, haha). We only had about two guidelines: 1. One drink each in our colours - so one Gold drink and the other Plum (or purple) 2. They had to be traidor - if you thought they tasted and were just like juice, you...

Better late than never

I have been meaning to update this multiply and I've only really gotten the chance to do so the past few days. I've had quite a bit of idle time - our office was submerged in floodwater because of Ondoy and the past week has been devoted to clean up which meant I've been working at home. So here's what I've done: - I've finally placed some actual wedding photos from Dino Lara. I used to just have a link to the album in my other multiply. Thank goodness I can import facebook albums. I recently added pictures to this because my mom and I were going through some of the wedding pictures for her facebook and I ended up going through all the pictures again and re-discovered some "new" ones :) (i told you i had a lot of idle time :p)  - I also placed our honeymoon and first anniversary albums (again, importing from facebook). You can still find the full set of photos from my own multiply site :) Aside from that, and non-multiply related, I hav...

Twosome

We thought we'd be adding to our twosome, but seems it wasn't meant to be at this time. So now we're back to our twosome, and I am still trying to get my bearings. Not that we were more than two for long, mind you. But we were so excited. I know that it all happened for a reason, and I couldn't have asked for any better circumstances than what we were given. I'm glad that I'm ok and on my way to being back to 100% (in fact, I think I'm at 98%) and soon we can try again. Like I said at my other blogs, a house was built, but he/she couldn't/didn't live in it. At least though, we know that a house can be built so that's one part of the next time covered. And that's basically what happened. With all that's happened, all I know is that I'm super lucky to have Reg. He really took care of me, and was there to hug me whenever I was scared or whenever I had to cry. Those times when we had to be apart because that's what the hos...

I really loved this!

Ok, to be quite honest with you, when I was planning for the wedding, I would constantly entertain the thought of literally dancing down the aisle during the march. I mean, I really envisioned something like this. Everyone just dancing down the aisle instead of just walking down it. In the end I let go of the idea cos:  1) Reg can't really dance (wahahah)  2) Santuario will probably kill us  3) Quite a number of our friends in the entourage may not look at us too kindly if suggested Wehehe :D  Maybe I should have asked? In any case, I'm kind of glad we didn't. No one could have predicted the falling-petticoat incident. I would've probably been left to walk down the aisle while everyone got the chance to dance down it. :D  Anyway, there's nothing about our wedding that I would change and this video really really warmed my heart. What a nice way to end a nice Friday afternoon and the begin another weekend night! :)

One Year!

Image
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a trip to Bohol. Stayed at Amorita in Panglao along Alona Beach. I totally loved every single minute of that holiday :) We saw dolphins, tarsiers, the Chocolate Hills, Loboc River, Baclayon Church, the Blood Compact Monument. Lots of different kinds of fishies in the marine sanctuary in Balicasag Island (it was also the first time I saw a cliff heading down into the depths of the sea) and the Virgin Island with a massive sandbar (I had lots of fun in that one). Reg beat me twice in scrabble, I tied him in Foosball, we slept early, woke up early and ate grilled food. First year has been amazing and it went by so fast. :) I have no doubt that the second year will be just as amazing. :)

A year in 4 days

Sunday is our first wedding anniversary! I don't tire of saying this, but time really does fly by! I still can't believe it's been (almost) a full year. So anyway, we're celebrating our first anniversary with a trip. We thought we'd make it a tradition to visit a beach we haven't visited to mark every anniversary, since we went to Boracay after the wedding.  Earlier this year, Reg started planning our anniv trip and was pretty good with keeping his mouth shut for the past five months. His plan was to never tell me where we were going, and just head for the airport. All I knew about the trip was : 1) It was a local destination 2) He had never been there.  I tried everything to get the info out of him, but nothing worked! He was too good at it. Well, at least, until last week! Just when I wasn't trying at all to get it out of him! haha :D We were discussing an errand, to which he mentioned that he will do "... after we get back from Boho...

10 Months!

Image
I just belatedly realized today, we have been married 10 months as of yesterday! :) It's been 10 months but I still have surreal moments when I can't believe we're married. We still get told by people that they can't believe we are. Haha :)  The past 10 months have been nothing but a great, fun adventure. Most of all, it has all felt so natural, like this is how things are supposed to be. I'm not even sure if i'm articulating this right. haha. :) just that we never felt that there was any difficult adjusting that had to be done. It just all fell into place.  We'll be celebrating our first-year anniversary in two months with a trip to I still don't know where (Reg won't tell me). It still feels like only yesterday when we were counting down to our wedding day and now we're counting down to our first-year anniv. Time sure flies when you're having fun! What's next for us? Who knows? But our biggest wish right now is to add to...

The other day I had another "I can't believe we're married!!!" moment. I love those moments

Watching the Video

I cried at all the same parts during the wedding. Haha! :) We watched it together laughing our asses off. It was as much fun in the video as we remembered. At some point, I actually started wishing we could re-live the entire day, no changes. Sigh. :) it really was such a great day. So... aside from a song that shouldn't be there (and omigod, it would've been ok if it was actually a song we like, but no, we hate it! it wasn't even part of our list :p), everything is great.  As for that song, we've called Jason Magbanua's office to talk about replacing it with one that we actually like. It was a good thing it was only part of the DVD menu and not the actual edit. :p I wanna go watch it again! :) Well, now that the Christmas season is upon us and countless family meetings are on schedule, I'm sure I'll get to see it over and over. Haha :)

Now Showing!

Image
(for private groups only - as in Family and Friends! haha!) Hahaha :) Am just so happy to have this in my hands already. After 5 months, our wedding video has finally been released. I'm so excited, I can't wait to go home to watch it. Well.. actually, I've already looked at the first part with Lieza and been laughing my ass off na.  Viewing schedules can be coordinated directly through me. WAHAHAHA ang kapal :D  Pardon this newlywed, I'm just happy to be able to see the wedding through another eye. :) I'm sure there are details there that we didn't notice :)

The Album is here!

Image
Roughly about two months after approving our album layout, I got the text telling me that our album could be picked up today. So... I had it picked up by our driver. hehe :) I had fun looking at it. I still have fun looking at the wedding photos! I don't think that's really going to change. haha :) Since we were able to approve our album layout way before the deadline date given us, they gave us a mini-album as well (as in, it's literally the mini version of the big album). :D Thank you, Dino Lara! :) So.. video na lang! Last I checked, it's in line for DVD burning. Hope that means we'll be able to get it soon, too. That's the one I really want to see. haha :) Oh, they also gave a CD with the jpegs of the inside pages! :) I'm pleasantly surprised. :) I'm really happy with the way Dino Lara understands the need to be able to share the photos online. Now I can upload for those who may not get the chance to hold the actual album (there's n...

Preserving my gown - Bridal Conservatory

After the wedding, my mom and I discussed about having my gown preserved. It took us about two months after to finally get round to doing it (but I highly recommend you do it much earlier, though). So I brought it to Melissa Jadwani of the Bridal Conservatory (as recommended by the House of Laurel), who was very informative and helpful - I never knew that so much went on in preserving a gown. So I finally picked it up today. I had the gown, my veil, the train, and the veil and cord all preserved. It's packed in this special, erm, packaging with very precise instructions on how to keep it and to keep track of the humidity inside (it has this sort of thermometer thing on it - i'm not too sure what to call it). Melissa also added a personal touch, placing a copy of A Purpose Driven Life in the box too, for us. :) I thought that was very nice. So now the gown is all preserved, something to show our future children :) And maybe, hopefully, one of them will decide to use a part o...

Magic

Sometime early 2007, I got Sinosikat's CD. I was listening through the whole thing at work when Magic caught my attention. I then put the song on loop and listened to it for a week or two. :) It fast became one of my favorite songs and I remember telling Reg that I definitely wanted to use the song for the wedding. What I didn't tell him was that the reason why I wanted to use it was because it seemed to be singing exactly how I felt: I want your mind, your body and soul Plant your seed on me, we'll let it grow Nourish me with your love Shower me with life. Be my man. Be my strength Never take our love for granted Love me unconditionally, truly, deeply, passionately You are my light You are my love You are my life You are my all... Fulfill my fantasies Share our dreams and bring it to reality Look at me, hear me listen to this heart carefully. Take care of me, treat me like a queen and Make me feel that I am loved! Let me be the one... Let me be the one What I feel for yo...
