Watching the Video

I cried at all the same parts during the wedding. Haha! :) We watched it together laughing our asses off. It was as much fun in the video as we remembered. At some point, I actually started wishing we could re-live the entire day, no changes. Sigh. :) it really was such a great day. So... aside from a song that shouldn't be there (and omigod, it would've been ok if it was actually a song we like, but no, we hate it! it wasn't even part of our list :p), everything is great.  As for that song, we've called Jason Magbanua's office to talk about replacing it with one that we actually like. It was a good thing it was only part of the DVD menu and not the actual edit. :p I wanna go watch it again! :) Well, now that the Christmas season is upon us and countless family meetings are on schedule, I'm sure I'll get to see it over and over. Haha :)

Now Showing!

Image
(for private groups only - as in Family and Friends! haha!) Hahaha :) Am just so happy to have this in my hands already. After 5 months, our wedding video has finally been released. I'm so excited, I can't wait to go home to watch it. Well.. actually, I've already looked at the first part with Lieza and been laughing my ass off na.  Viewing schedules can be coordinated directly through me. WAHAHAHA ang kapal :D  Pardon this newlywed, I'm just happy to be able to see the wedding through another eye. :) I'm sure there are details there that we didn't notice :)

The Album is here!

Image
Roughly about two months after approving our album layout, I got the text telling me that our album could be picked up today. So... I had it picked up by our driver. hehe :) I had fun looking at it. I still have fun looking at the wedding photos! I don't think that's really going to change. haha :) Since we were able to approve our album layout way before the deadline date given us, they gave us a mini-album as well (as in, it's literally the mini version of the big album). :D Thank you, Dino Lara! :) So.. video na lang! Last I checked, it's in line for DVD burning. Hope that means we'll be able to get it soon, too. That's the one I really want to see. haha :) Oh, they also gave a CD with the jpegs of the inside pages! :) I'm pleasantly surprised. :) I'm really happy with the way Dino Lara understands the need to be able to share the photos online. Now I can upload for those who may not get the chance to hold the actual album (there's n...

Preserving my gown - Bridal Conservatory

After the wedding, my mom and I discussed about having my gown preserved. It took us about two months after to finally get round to doing it (but I highly recommend you do it much earlier, though). So I brought it to Melissa Jadwani of the Bridal Conservatory (as recommended by the House of Laurel), who was very informative and helpful - I never knew that so much went on in preserving a gown. So I finally picked it up today. I had the gown, my veil, the train, and the veil and cord all preserved. It's packed in this special, erm, packaging with very precise instructions on how to keep it and to keep track of the humidity inside (it has this sort of thermometer thing on it - i'm not too sure what to call it). Melissa also added a personal touch, placing a copy of A Purpose Driven Life in the box too, for us. :) I thought that was very nice. So now the gown is all preserved, something to show our future children :) And maybe, hopefully, one of them will decide to use a part o...

Magic

Sometime early 2007, I got Sinosikat's CD. I was listening through the whole thing at work when Magic caught my attention. I then put the song on loop and listened to it for a week or two. :) It fast became one of my favorite songs and I remember telling Reg that I definitely wanted to use the song for the wedding. What I didn't tell him was that the reason why I wanted to use it was because it seemed to be singing exactly how I felt: I want your mind, your body and soul Plant your seed on me, we'll let it grow Nourish me with your love Shower me with life. Be my man. Be my strength Never take our love for granted Love me unconditionally, truly, deeply, passionately You are my light You are my love You are my life You are my all... Fulfill my fantasies Share our dreams and bring it to reality Look at me, hear me listen to this heart carefully. Take care of me, treat me like a queen and Make me feel that I am loved! Let me be the one... Let me be the one What I feel for yo...

Can I just say...

I am really loving life, being married to Reg!

The Name Game

First it was just all about labels. Now it's all about the name. I was really amused when Guia mentioned in one conversation that she'd miss her last name once she got married. At that time, it was about a month before the wedding and I was excited as hell and couldn't imagine anything funnier. How can one miss a last name? Well. Not that I seriously miss my last name. I'm just still not quite used to not seeing it attached to my first name. In fact, at the moment, I'm still hyphenating. I guess it's some sort of weaning. :) When salespeople here ask for my name while ringing up a purchase, there's this miniscule of a pause before I say my new last name. Just cause I'm still not used to it. But yes, there is a thrill to attaching my husband's last name to my first name. :D The other day though, I happen to check my work mail after a week of not logging on and saw an email about the new assignments. I had to take a double-take. My boss used my...

Married! :)

It's been three weeks since our awesome wedding :) i still can't stop looking at photos. It was such a fun day that I can't stop going back to it. I was going to have this whole blog entry about random memories during the wedding but well, it's been three weeks and I should've written it two days after. Right now, it's all a happy blur, and man, what a blur it is. From before, during and after the wedding. Truly a lot of laughs. There's one picture of ours taken by Dino Lara, of us laughing at the altar. That pretty much describes the whole day. :) So we went on our Boracay honeymoon, then left for Singapore pseudo-honeymoon and now we're in the States. Busy, busy! :) We still have half of our gifts unopened at home, no thank you cards written, our stuff is still in shambles and all over the place and well, really, we haven't been home. August should be interesting then, with all the moving I'll have to do. haha :) I'm sure I'll...

THREE DAYS!

it's 2am on the 2nd of July. I should be asleep, especially since we're up early tomorrow to meet with Ruby, our wedding planner. It'll be our last meeting before the wedding, so it may take a little while. :) THREE DAYS left. :) I still can't quite believe it. :)

Time flying

Seriously flying at that too. 11 days says the countdown! whoa, as in whoa! haha :D there are so many things to do! yet i don't seem to be panicking. Maybe when the middle of this week hits, the panic will hit. I haven't checked off stuff from my to-do list! And other things are cropping up. Sigh. As the days go by, I am increasingly kept awake by all sorts of random thoughts. Doing our pre-nup pictorials, with the brainstorming sessions for the backgrounds (will explain all that later, haha) and the interview with my tito, our priest, for "our story" has had me thinking of the everything. How things started, where we were, where we are now and how we got here. I am still amazed. I've been constantly reminiscing. :) -==- Last Saturday, I had my bridal shower c/o the Gasso girls :) It was fun as hell. They blindfolded me all the way to Victoria Court from Makati! of course, I had no idea where I was going until I was in the room. haha! They got this room ...

Random

The other night, Reg and I were sitting in Fely J's with Paolo, fixing up schedules (we were coordinating for our pre-nup shoot, which now has a part to play, haha). So we had a calendar in between us and as we were counting ( ie. what is a week before?, what is two weeks before? ) we realised that we had three weeks left.  Three weeks!! Ohmigod. Lots to do. I mean, lots of details to tie up, that is. Lots of schedules! Most of June is already booked with something or other. So much fun :) Lots to look forward to.  Today, I've had three ym messages that started off in the same vein - along the lines of "shet ang lapit na!"  Yes yes, this is one of those rare moments where stating the obvious can actually be okay. :D -==- I'm happy to report that the current weird wedding dream count is still at 5.  Rundown: Dream number 4 was the dream where our wedding rings had gone haywire whilst stored in the safe, so that when we t...

27 Days Left!

it's the 8th of June. According to this countdown I have in my other blog, there are 27 days left. I still can't quite get my head around it. Only recently (through a surprise bridal shower) did I just really feel like a bride. I mean, I knew I was but to really feel it? Well, it just hit me last week. haha! :) I had the same sort of "whoa" feeling during my third fitting. The gown is almost complete so I stood there in front of the mirror, not quite believing what I saw. It's awesome. I can't wait to see the full, finished gown :) My God, I can still remember quite clearly thinking that the wedding was still so far away and then, without realising, it's just around the corner. How time flies. So now, one week of work left. (yay!) 27 days left. Then finally, our day! Yay! :D

Second Wedding Gift

Image
(second, cos the first wedding gift we got was a card and money from relatives who won't be able to make it, hehe) This gift was waiting for us at the lobby of the condo last night. :) Seems like two thingsf rom our list are crossed out already! I mean, if we guessed right, that is. haha :D Thanks very much to the Villanuevas! The gift came early because they can no longer attend the wedding. Since Debbie has gotten pregnant, their originally-scheduled September honeymoon has been moved up to June. :) So now, there's a gift in the condo waiting for us to open it :D

License!

Image
We got our marriage license today! :) We can now literally get married anytime we want. hahahaha :D We're both a little sad now though, that our little busy holiday is over and we're back to work tomorrow (that's aside from Reg being home sick for almost a week last week, haha). We accomplished a lot over the four-day weekend we had - but the to-do list hasn't changed its length. haha :) Guess with a little more than two months left, it's what we should expect. Sigh. :) It's work, but it's "fun work" (what an oxymoron, haha). :)

First Fitting

Image
I had my first fitting last Saturday, 29th of March. Since it's the first fitting, i just fit the lining. :) The picture on the left is the only one I'll post. It features my baby sister, Inna (holding the camera) and her best friend Kat camwhoring and catching my mom in the process. I think it's a cute photo. :) Plus, the only part of me you'll see is the bottom of my gown, which i don't think is all that harmful. After all, the gown is meant to have a skirt right? haha :) So how was the fitting? Exciting! I can't wait for the next one, when the gown will be slightly more complete (I'm not fitting a fully-made gown tho - gotta keep that pamahiin. This is the loophole, haha). Man, I can't exactly put it into words. I just can't. :) Just that I stood there with a big smile on my face. Shet, I can't wait for the 2nd fittng!! haha! Oh, and one more thing - we have three months left!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

More Registry stuff

Image
So aside from Adora (which I thought merited its own blog entry, haha), we also looked at Make Room and More in Bonifacio High Street and Gourdo's today. Make Room and More in High Street doesn't officially have a bridal registry system up just yet, but they do informally do it (this means you can only find our list in this branch, and not in other branches). So we looked around and found some stuff there too, so it's part of the registry as well. The final list will be available by June. We also signed up for Gourdo's. I think they have Rustan's beat just by this. It's a registry "kit" that they give all couples who sign up. It's super helpful - it contains a booklet with a list of things you might need for your house with a little background on the basics (which is helpful because we don't really quite know what exactly we need and how many, esp when it comes to kitchen needs) and recipes as well. We plan on using the booklet when we go c...
