Drinks! :)

Image
When we were planning our wedding, we already knew we wanted to have an open bar. And part of our reception set-up was a fully lighted bar. However, since we were in a hotel, a full open bar c/o them was a little too costly. Instead, we were able to haggle for loads of bottles of wine (I can't remember how many bottles there were now but we brought home a lot after) and an unlimited amount of the drinks that were specially mixed just for that day (we were able to get special discounts on the corkage for that one - just a tip, if you want it bad, haggle! Hotels will accommodate :D). We spent a night at Big Sky Mind with Cindy Malong (she is Mark's, a groomsman, sister) who mixed us various drinks while the rest of us tested them out (we walked out of there drunk, haha). We only had about two guidelines: 1. One drink each in our colours - so one Gold drink and the other Plum (or purple) 2. They had to be traidor - if you thought they tasted and were just like juice, you...

Better late than never

I have been meaning to update this multiply and I've only really gotten the chance to do so the past few days. I've had quite a bit of idle time - our office was submerged in floodwater because of Ondoy and the past week has been devoted to clean up which meant I've been working at home. So here's what I've done: - I've finally placed some actual wedding photos from Dino Lara. I used to just have a link to the album in my other multiply. Thank goodness I can import facebook albums. I recently added pictures to this because my mom and I were going through some of the wedding pictures for her facebook and I ended up going through all the pictures again and re-discovered some "new" ones :) (i told you i had a lot of idle time :p)  - I also placed our honeymoon and first anniversary albums (again, importing from facebook). You can still find the full set of photos from my own multiply site :) Aside from that, and non-multiply related, I hav...

Twosome

We thought we'd be adding to our twosome, but seems it wasn't meant to be at this time. So now we're back to our twosome, and I am still trying to get my bearings. Not that we were more than two for long, mind you. But we were so excited. I know that it all happened for a reason, and I couldn't have asked for any better circumstances than what we were given. I'm glad that I'm ok and on my way to being back to 100% (in fact, I think I'm at 98%) and soon we can try again. Like I said at my other blogs, a house was built, but he/she couldn't/didn't live in it. At least though, we know that a house can be built so that's one part of the next time covered. And that's basically what happened. With all that's happened, all I know is that I'm super lucky to have Reg. He really took care of me, and was there to hug me whenever I was scared or whenever I had to cry. Those times when we had to be apart because that's what the hos...

I really loved this!

Ok, to be quite honest with you, when I was planning for the wedding, I would constantly entertain the thought of literally dancing down the aisle during the march. I mean, I really envisioned something like this. Everyone just dancing down the aisle instead of just walking down it. In the end I let go of the idea cos:  1) Reg can't really dance (wahahah)  2) Santuario will probably kill us  3) Quite a number of our friends in the entourage may not look at us too kindly if suggested Wehehe :D  Maybe I should have asked? In any case, I'm kind of glad we didn't. No one could have predicted the falling-petticoat incident. I would've probably been left to walk down the aisle while everyone got the chance to dance down it. :D  Anyway, there's nothing about our wedding that I would change and this video really really warmed my heart. What a nice way to end a nice Friday afternoon and the begin another weekend night! :)

One Year!

Image
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a trip to Bohol. Stayed at Amorita in Panglao along Alona Beach. I totally loved every single minute of that holiday :) We saw dolphins, tarsiers, the Chocolate Hills, Loboc River, Baclayon Church, the Blood Compact Monument. Lots of different kinds of fishies in the marine sanctuary in Balicasag Island (it was also the first time I saw a cliff heading down into the depths of the sea) and the Virgin Island with a massive sandbar (I had lots of fun in that one). Reg beat me twice in scrabble, I tied him in Foosball, we slept early, woke up early and ate grilled food. First year has been amazing and it went by so fast. :) I have no doubt that the second year will be just as amazing. :)

A year in 4 days

Sunday is our first wedding anniversary! I don't tire of saying this, but time really does fly by! I still can't believe it's been (almost) a full year. So anyway, we're celebrating our first anniversary with a trip. We thought we'd make it a tradition to visit a beach we haven't visited to mark every anniversary, since we went to Boracay after the wedding.  Earlier this year, Reg started planning our anniv trip and was pretty good with keeping his mouth shut for the past five months. His plan was to never tell me where we were going, and just head for the airport. All I knew about the trip was : 1) It was a local destination 2) He had never been there.  I tried everything to get the info out of him, but nothing worked! He was too good at it. Well, at least, until last week! Just when I wasn't trying at all to get it out of him! haha :D We were discussing an errand, to which he mentioned that he will do "... after we get back from Boho...

10 Months!

Image
I just belatedly realized today, we have been married 10 months as of yesterday! :) It's been 10 months but I still have surreal moments when I can't believe we're married. We still get told by people that they can't believe we are. Haha :)  The past 10 months have been nothing but a great, fun adventure. Most of all, it has all felt so natural, like this is how things are supposed to be. I'm not even sure if i'm articulating this right. haha. :) just that we never felt that there was any difficult adjusting that had to be done. It just all fell into place.  We'll be celebrating our first-year anniversary in two months with a trip to I still don't know where (Reg won't tell me). It still feels like only yesterday when we were counting down to our wedding day and now we're counting down to our first-year anniv. Time sure flies when you're having fun! What's next for us? Who knows? But our biggest wish right now is to add to...

The other day I had another "I can't believe we're married!!!" moment. I love those moments
