Tala!

I thought it'd be nice to update from the last actual post on this blog (baby's heartbeat!) by posting a photo of our biggest blessing. She brings so much joy, laughter, love and sunshine in our lives :)

Here is Tala, almost at two years and four months. :) We do like to dress her up, haha! :) Photo on the left is by me, the one in the middle by Grandma and the rightmost photo is currently my favourite photo of her - super Southern girl :)

She is funny, innately pilya (but not naughty, mostly mischievous), a bit shy among strangers and actually, a bit serious. She is not one to rush into new things, she prefers to observe first. She gives off the impression that she is suplada because of her famous looks (apparently, all inherited from me and her dad). She knows how to say her full name, can tell you how old she is, count to 20 and recognize the number shapes and recite the alphabet. We think her "favourite" colour is green because everything is "green" to her (even if it's a completely different colour. Hehe. Yes, we're working on colours right now). She talks a lot now and we're understanding more each day as her sentences get longer, more fuller and more complete. She can choose and knows how to say "No" (uh-oh) and can put herself on time-out. She loves rice, pancit, hainanese chicken, home-cooked food, bread, biscuits and french fries. Currently, she really, really loves grapes. She's not that into sweets so we are the weird parents who beg their kid to try ice cream (yeah, but not too much begging haha). She likes to watch musicians and their instruments, loves the iPad and her Pocoyo and Pororo episodes and looking through her photos and videos in my iPhone and then she'll put that aside for a while so she can look through her books and "i want to color!". Her favourite toys right now are her wooden building blocks and her mega blocks ("i wanta build tower! i wanta build a house!") and she will insist that we sit with her and build with her as well. We also like to take walks around so we try our best to visit open spaces (thank you BHS, Ayala Triangle). She also likes to walk around the mall though and will sometimes lead us into a store and she'll look through the clothes hahaha :D

(and I should really just stop here because I can seriously go on and on about our baby! :D)

She loves to hang out with us (yay!), as much as we love to hang out with her. She waits as long as she can each night for us to come home and she is the best welcoming committee EVER! Lots of squealing and jumping, like she can hardly contain her excitement.

And speaking of me and her dad, she really is a mix of the two of us.

So anyway, there's our girl in a very tiny nutshell! Two and growing.

And so in four years we have gone from boyfriend-girlfriend, husband-wife to daddy-mommy. :) Couldn't ask for anything more!

  2. Haha! I wouldn't worry, ninong. Funnily enough, after I posted this, she started naming colours correctly! Her second most-recognized colour is your favourite blue :D hahaha
